WEST VIRGINIA'S FIRST EMS UNION

On February 7th, 2024, we held a vote to unionize at the end of the day we had a successful vote and shortly after (less than a week) we were "Officially Certified" as IAEP Local R4-304. We are under the Great Lakes Region 4. The logo that was designed for our local has some historic homage to the mine workers who started the famous MINE WARS in the southern part of West Virginia the pro-union miners carried a RED bandana to show their support, so we felt that it was a perfect filler for the state outline. 

After months... and months over 15 to be exact, an agreement had been reached and our CBA or Collective Bargaining Agreement and went into effect in January '26. 

Our history is still being written and we are just beginning!!! Stay tuned to see what our future brings.
